On November 28, Small Business Saturday, Tioga State Bank is launching a contest on our Facebook page for a chance to win a $50 gift card to a local business. All you have to do is snap a selfie at a local business with the name of the business you are shopping at in your selfie and post it to our Facebook page on Saturday, November 28th. You will then be entered to win a $50 gift card to the local business from your selfie!*

What is small business Saturday?

Small Business Saturday is a movement encouraging people to show at small, local businesses. It is celebrated on the Saturday after Thanksgiving.

Why is shopping locally so important?

Spending at a local business means that your money gets recycled into the same community you live in.

What types of businesses are eligible for Small Business Saturday?

  • The business must have at least 1 but not more than 25 locations.
  • Businesses that are excluded include: government agencies, public administration, gas stations, businesses located on the same premises as gas stations, charities, non-profits, trade associations, shopping property management companies, direct sellers, travel agents, and political organizations

 

 

*Contest begins 11/28/15 12:00AM EST and ends 11/28/15 11:59PM EST. Four winners will receive a $50 gift card to a local business. Winners will be chosen by random drawing from all valid entries on 11/30/15. Winners will be notified via Facebook message within 14 days. The names of the winners can be obtained by emailing marketing@tiogabank.com. No purchase is necessary to win. A purchase will not improve one’s chances of winning. An alternative form of entry is to email  marketing@tiogabank.com. Entries are limited one per Facebook user or email address entry. Must be 18 years and older and reside in the United States.
