Can I use TSB P2P on my smartphone?

Once you have signed up for TSB P2P on your browser, and have created your first payee, you can access TSB P2P via the TSB Mobile App.

How does TSB P2P work?

Upon enrollment, TSB P2P allows you to send payments to virtually anyone who has a U.S. based email address and a deposit account at a U.S. financial institution. Payees are added by creating a new payee and then following a safe and secure enrollment process. You will be required to enter the payee name and email address, as well as a short activation code before a new payee can receive payments. New payees are required to follow a secure link from an email that will be sent to their email address. They will enter a Keyword that you have created and shared with them. DO NOT email the Keyword to the payee. For security purposes, you must give this to them in another manner. Payees will enter their account information for the payment. Once the new payee is added, for future payments to that same payee, you only need to enter the payee’s name, the date you want the money sent and the amount you wish to send.

Am I eligible to use TSB P2P?

You must be a Tioga State Bank customer with a checking account, enrolled in TSB Online Banking, and have access to your Online Banking account through an internet browser. Due to NACHA Operating Rules, P2P is not available to Cash Management.

How much does TSB P2P cost?

The fee for TSB P2P is $1.00 per payment. This fee will be charged to you each time you make a payment with TSB P2P service.*

When can I use TSB P2P?

You can use TSB P2P 24 hours a day, including weekends and holidays. Payments will be processed on the business day that you designate, provided the payment is submitted prior to the daily cutoff time, currently 3:00 PM EST. Payments received after 3:00 PM EST will be processed on the following business day. We consider our business days Monday – Friday, not including federal holidays.

Are there payment amount limits?

Yes, limits apply as follows:

 Per Transaction Limit is $2,000.00

 Daily Transaction Limit is $2,000.00

What is the Keyword?

The Keyword is a special word that only you and your payee will know. You will input the Keyword’ when you set up a TSB P2P payment. Your payee will need this word to complete the transaction. DO NOT email your payee the Keyword.

When will the payee receive the payment?

TSB P2P uses the ACH (Automated Clearing House) network to send money to the payee. Payments can take 1-3 business days. New payee setup is a one-time occurrence so subsequent payments often take less time. You will typically see the funds withdrawn from your account one business day before they are deposited into the account of the payee.

Remember: for the fastest service, input your payment by the 3:00 PM EST cutoff time.

History of payments will be provided in the TSB P2P widget, under the “My Account” tab.

How do reocurring payments work?

When a recurring payment is processed, it is automatically rescheduled by the system. Based upon your selected frequency settings for the payment, a processing date is calculated for the next occurrence of the payment. If the calculated processing date is a non-business date (generally weekends and certain holidays), it is adjusted based upon the following rules:

  • If the recurring payment’s “Pay Before” option is selected, the processing date for the new occurrence of the payment is adjusted to the first business date prior to the calculated processing date.
  • If the recurring payment’s “Pay After” option is selected, the processing date for the new occurrence of the payment is adjusted to the first business date after the calculated processing date.

Note: If your frequency settings for the recurring payment specify the 29th, 30th, or 31st as a particular day of the month for processing and that day does not exist in the month of the calculated processing date, then the last calendar day of that month is used as the calculated processing date.
