What do you like the most about your job?

Helping people is the best part of my job – no contest! Buying a house is one of the most stressful things an adult will do in their lifetime, and if I can ease some of that stress, then it has been a successful day at work.

What do you like the most about working for TSB?

When I started at Tioga State Bank, I always meant it to be a temporary job, but the longer I stayed; the harder it was to leave!  Not only are the people who work with me great to be with, but our customers are too.  Supporting our community is not just something we talk about, but it is something we do. I love the opportunities and connections we have made with local organizations, allowing us to take a couple of hours to paint park benches or clean up the gardens after winter. Those are some of my favorite moments here at TSB.

What inspired you to pursue a career in mortgage lending?

The customers! I was on my way to getting my degree in teaching when my co-worker encouraged me to take a position in processing/closing loans. I loved learning the ins and outs of loans, and especially the times when I was able to help a customer. When the opportunity came up to originate, which would allow more customer contact, I had to try it. With my combined knowledge of before and after closing loan care, I knew I had a lot of knowledge to share with our customers.
