If You Think You Are A Victim Of Fraud
If something doesn’t look right, trust your instincts. Acting quickly can make all the difference in stopping fraud and protecting your accounts. At TSB, we’re ready to help you take the right steps—fast.
What To Do Immediately
Contact TSB right away
During regular business hours, call your local TSB Office or our Customer Service Center as soon as you notice suspicious activity. The sooner we know, the faster we can work to secure your accounts.
Secure Your Accounts
Change your online banking passwords and any other accounts that may share the same login credentials. Enable multi-factor authentication if you haven’t already.
Review Your Transactions
We will work with you to carefully check your recent account activity for unauthorized charges, transfers, or changes. Make note of anything that looks unfamiliar.
Stop Further Activity
If you clicked a suspicious link, downloaded something, or shared sensitive information, let us know exactly what happened so we can help minimize further risk.
Additional Steps You Can Take
Monitor Your Credit
Watch for unusual activity like new accounts or unexpected credit inquiries.
Place A Fraud Alert
Consider placing a fraud alert on your credit file to make it harder for identity thieves to open accounts in your name.
Report It
You can report fraud to the Federal Trade Commission at IdentityTheft.gov for additional guidance and recovery steps.
